Publishing Director

About

Julia is the founder and director of Zeytin Press, a London-based independent publishing house dedicated to literary fiction and nonfiction that blur the line between lived experience and literary art.

With a blended background in photojournalism, analytics, and publishing, her practical experience extends to Morocco, Tajikistan, Colombia, and Turkey, where she completed her postgraduate studies at Boğaziçi University in İstanbul in International Relations, covering bilateral and multilateral foreign policy in Europe, Turkey, and the Middle East. After nearly a decade translating the analytical ideas of technical experts (SMEs) and C-Suite executives for public audiences as an editorial consultant, she shifted her focus toward creating structural pathways for publication, founding Zeytin Press in 2025.

Although her primary focus is running the press, her wider work often spans policy and prose. Julia’s writing has appeared in Modern Diplomacy, Forbes, The World Financial Review, CIO Magazine, World Commerce & Contracting, The Anova Report, Peter Lange Verlag, The Journal of Applied Business and Economics, and Palgrave Macmillan (Springer Nature), among other publications.

She is a member, researcher, and three-time World Congress presenter for the International Political Science Association (IPSA) and still occasionally publishes as an independent journalist in various outlets.

Julia’s mother tongue is English, and she is capable of working in Spanish and Turkish when needed.
